A la lista de premios que Marc Anthony ha recibido como resultado de sus logros artísticos, ahora se le agregará uno más: el "Lifetime Achievement Award", que llegará a manos del puertorriqueño el próximo 16 de septiembre, día en el que también estará celebrando su natalicio número 41.

El Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) determinó conceder el "2009 CHCI Chair's Lifetime Achievement Award" al cantante Marc Anthony, definido por el instituto como "el cantante de salsa con más ventas de todos los tiempos".El cantante y actor se presentará a la 32 gala anual de este Instituto el próximo 16 de septiembre para ser reconocido "no sólo por sus destacados logros como un entretenedor, también por traer la música y cultura latina a la corriente principal, y traer honor y orgullo a la comunidad Hispanoamericana", publicó el sitio oficial del CHCI.La encargada de dar tal reconocimiento al intérprete de Tu amor me hace bien será Nydia Velásquez, presidenta del Instituto, el cual ha nombrado a Marc como "uno de los artista más influyentes de esta generación".Entre los artistas que han sido honrados por el Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute se encuentra Ricky Martin, quien recibió el galardón en 2003."Latinos Destacados en las Artes", es el tema de la gala de este año, la cual marca el inicio del "Mes de la Herencia Hispana" en Washington, que se celebra del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre.Marc Anthony, quien está a punto de cumplir 41 años, se presentará el próximo 26 de septiembre en el Palacio de los Deportes en México, y posteriormente en el American Airlines Area el 24 de octubre.
